Graduated from York University with a B.A. Honours in English and History.   Obtained LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School.  Recipient of the Distinguished Service Award (DSA) from the Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI)

In addition to her private practice, Sonja is also a Part-Time Vice Chair for the Workplace Safety Insurance Appeals Tribunal (WSIAT) where she has been adjudicating appeals in worker’s compensation claims for over 10 years.  
 
Given her years of experience as a litigator and adjudicator, Sonja also offers her services as a mediator or arbitrator in condominium and estate disputes.  
 
Sonja is a frequent speaker for various organizations and writes articles for various industry publications.  In addition to her practice of law, Sonja also volunteers with local community organizations.  Sonja  is  a past Director on the National Executive for the Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI) and a  past President of the CCI Huronia Chapter.   She is currently a director on the CCI Huronia Board of Directors and co-chair of the Education and Event Committees for CCI Huronia.
